Ya know... I'm not a fan of packed bagged lunches. My son prefers them to the garbage they serve at school, but for me I've never been a big fan of it. I think it's partially because when I was younger, "Leftovers" were like the meal of all meals, and I hated them. I also think it's cause as a teen I worked in a pizzeria and I could have whatever I wanted, made fresh right there.
But... as part of my 'fiscal responsibility' I figured the best thing I could do for myself is bring my lunch. I can save myself anywhere from $25-35 a week just by bagging a sandwich and a small bag of chips or some kind of snack. I mean jeez if I can save that much money then I am doin good. $100 to $140 a month is nothing to sneeze at. I could use that money to put it on the debt that I want to erradicate this year. Seriously that's not too shabby and I could wipe it out a lot faster that way then if I'm only putting $10 a week towards the debt right? *sigh* Or a car payment! How nice it would be to have 3 or 4K to just put on a car w/no payment. Yeap.
I bagged my lunch today. Now for the problem. It's 10:45am and I ate it already. Yeah. Tell me about it. My lunch is gone at 10:45am. Now what? I guess it'll make sure I leave at 3 like I'm supposed to since I know I'll be super hungry by then! I do have a nutty buddy snack left - I'll save that for around 1pm. This is what I get for not eating breakfast. I guess tomorrow it's Raisin bran for me for breakfast. Then maybe my lunch can wait till it's actually lunch time!
