Remember that? LOL Arsenio Hall. Boy I loved that show when I was younger. My son doesn't even know who he is, let alone that he had a HIT show, dated Paula Abdul (who WAS a professional singer/dancer at the time) and that he coined that phrase. Of course, he could care LESS about the phrase, but it was a defining point in my generation that's for sure!
Anyway this is something that'll make you go hmm... so this morning we get this email saying that Ty is invited to tryout for the Bantam Minor AA team. Which is a mini travel team. I ask if he wants to try, he says sure... so we get there, and they totally let him play and everything, and then the coach comes up to me and says your boy is a force to be reckoned with, but he's going to have to play for Coach Joe next year. okay?? he's too old! ok if you KNEW that going in? why on earth did you let him tryout and make me pay the $10 to let him skate??? Whatever! LOL
The nice thing is that he said Ty is definitely talented enough to play at that level, he is just too old since this is a 1st year bantam team, and Ty is in his 2nd yr Bantam. That made Ty feel good though so I'm happy. And in the grand scheme of things.... $10 is nothing to help build his self esteem, you know?
