We left mom's today around 9:30 but stopped at the Waterloo Outlet mall for some shopping. The boys didn't really find any great deals but I did! I can't post everything I got because I know a certain somebodies who check out my blog and I don't want them knowing what their birthday, mother's day and christmas presents are! LOL Terrible ain't I? I'll give you a peek at something I got for me though - This sunflower tealight warmer - I've been eyeing it for weeks in the mall and it was $26.99 - today at the outlet I got it for $10! YES $10 can you believe it? It's a really nice size and I just loved it. right now it's in my living room - don't know if that will be its permanent home, but for now - I like it!
Anyway we spent a couple hours at the mall, and then headed home quite leisurely. the ride both to and from mom's was really nice - calm, traffic was clear, and the weather couldn't have been better. I will tell you that my mom left for work this morning before we headed back to Buffalo. It wasn't any easier leaving her house empty as it is when she's there to say goodbye. And YES Mom I know...we left tokens of proof we were there all around for you to find! LOL Just an excuse to come back again soon!
Once we got home, there was some yardwork for us to do - we really needed to sort the garage, and clean up the backyard a bit. I wanted to get the gate off the fence. It's more of a nuisance than anything and I wanted to get the basketball hoop out of the garage so the kids can assemble it tomorrow. Tyler could care less about it - but Jay is dieing to have it soooo... Ty is going to have to help him put it back together. Here are some shots of it now - believe me you didn't need to see the before shots! LOL First, the whole garage, then the right side where the new tool organizer is, and the snowblowers. then the wood pile (For fire wood), the gardening corner which is the back left corner - has all my gardening stuff, and the hibatchi's, and last but not least the front left corner, for the inner tubes and Jay's street hockey stuff. It's not all there, but you get the idea...
And THIS is the most forgetful kid on the planet. Jay. My darling nephew. I swear he if he weren't so BRILLIANT he'd be a perfect candidate for ADHD! Even tonight - he swore his glove was at a friends house so all day he was saying his baseball glove was at dave's and Dave was going to bring it to the house. Sooo finally around 10pm Dave drops off Jay's duffle bag. No glove. Long story made very short - it is now 10:32 at night and we discover that the glove is at his mother's house - it HAS been for over a week! UGH. Tomorrow is tryouts at school - and it is TOO late for me to drive anywhere right now - not to mention I'm soo tired.
This is what is left of the tree that was beside my garage. At some point we need to get rid of this wood pile, but it's too big to burn. Should probably put it out with the trash. WHICH by the way the city FINALLY picked up the wood pile from the pool deck that has been out on the sidwalk for almost a month now.. YAY it's all gone!
Can you see my sweet kitty in the window? Yeah that's smokes. He's 14. I think he was lonely. He thinks he's an outside cat. NOT. Anyway he was crying his poor little heart out for me to come let him outside. Again... NOT. Too funny!
More pictures of the world's most forgetful kid. He's relaxing after 3 grueling hours of helping clean up the garage and yard from tree clippings. Yeah he's using my recyle box as his goalie net. Why? because they totally destroyed the hockey net I bought them two years ago within a week of me buying it. I think I might get him a new one for his bday - but don't tell HIM that! LOL
ok last but not least - a couple pics of the yard - for Mom since she hasn't really seen it lately. My new bird feeder that I bought with mom at walmart Friday night - the holes the kids dug around where the pool deck used to be to try and remove the posts *they are too much for the kids to do*, and whew... we took the gate off the fence because it was so frustrating to get thru it when it wouldn't really open.
Ok that is a TON of pics, and I'm whipped so I'm going to wash my feet and get to bed.. oh I'm so looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight! Sweet dreams everyone!
