Sooo new recipe!

I was watching Rachael Ray last night while I was wondering what to have for dinner and she threw together this FIVE Minute recipe and I was like woah! Luv it! So I cooked it up super quick while Tyler ran to the store to pick up milk and wham bam thank you Ma'am - we had a devine set of pork chops. I reserved one plain because Ty is so picky but he ended up liking mine as well so he had two! I figured I'd share the recipe with you all too!

Pan seared porkchops

5 bone-in pork chops seasoned with salt n Pepper
a few tablespoons of EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
1/4 jar of jam (I used my home made Pear jam, Rachel used Orange marmalade)
about 8 shakes of Soy sauce
3 cloves rough chopped garlic

Ok this is how I did it. Heat the EVOO in a large skillet till it's nice and hot. generously salt/pepper your pork chops and and lay seasoned side down in the hot skillet to sear. Salt/pepper the other side while in the skillet.

Microwave the jam to loosen it up about 30 -40 seconds. (take the lid of the jar off first!) Add the soy sauce right to the jar, put the lid back on and shake it good to mix.

Turn your chops! You want the juices seared on both sides.

After the chops are mostly cooked thru and are a nice golden brown, drain off the EVOO. Once you've removed the EVOO - return pan to the heat, and pour the Jam/soy sauce over the chops. add chopped garlic. Saute over medium heat until fully cooked and sauce has carmelized.

Transfer to plate and serve with your fav. steamed veggies! YUMM-O as Rachael Ray would say!
