In Jersey...

Well we left this morning around 9:30 am from mom's house. The drive was easy, and finding Lisa's house wasn't too hard at all. Although it was kinda funny. I got off at the exit, and had to meet her friend at the 7-eleven to get the key. I was supposed to follow him back to her house, and when we were driving, we turned onto her street. I immediately began looking for the house # and when we found it, started to pull over, only the guy I was following? Kept going! Then he drove about 6 or 8 blocks in a semi-circle... and finally pulled over and says to me "I missed the street somehow"... I was like what? We were ON her street! In front of her house. They both looked at me and said - No we weren't, we missed it. I just looked at them like oh my gosh are they crazy?

Anyway so I followed them back, and then we parked and are in her house now. Have to admit I'm out of my element a bit. We got here around 2pm, settled in a little, figured out the lay of the house, and then headed out to my Grandmothers who lives 1hr south of here. We arrived there around 4, we were starving, and Grandma was insisting we had to eat her food (which trust me, no one wanted) and finally about 1 1/2 hrs later my uncle arrived and rescued us and ordered a pizza, and thankfully we got to finally eat about 2 hrs later.... boy were we hungry! Anyway - stopped at Target on the way home, and then came back here.

It's a little weird. It's very noisy here outside. I am listening to the neighborhood and while it seems like it's ok - there are a lot of people outside and it's noisy. I'm so not used to that! My neighborhood is so quiet. Hardly a car or dog, or person goes by after 9pm, and it's weird to hear all this activity. The people next door don't seem to know how to stay home...lol they keep going back and forth and out of the house... I sure hope I can sleep tonight!

Tomorrow we will be driving back to my Uncles for 1st sunday service, then the Viewing service, then the memorial service. It's going to be crazy I swear. Monday I have no idea what the plans are, and then Tuesday is the burial. We'll drive back to mom's on Tuesday night, and back to Buffalo Wed morning. Busy busy but at least this leg of the trip will be finished.

p.s. my friend Lisa has a Rottweiler named Star -she's a beautiful dog... BUT STINKY! EEEWWWW!
