Motivate Monday # 1

Good Monday morning! Oh I 'm sooo excited to share with you this new 'feature' on my blog - "Motivate Mondays" :)

What is Motivate Monday?

Well it's my opportunity to share with you some FABULOUS sister bloggers and the great things that they are sharing on their sites. You see I subscribe to many blogs, and see so much inspiration.

My Favorite Blogs List

Every morning I grab some coffee, and browse through many of these great sites, and I learn so much, from painting to crochet to cooking to raising kids and encouragement in my faith. I'm so thankful to have all of these great women to learn and grow from.

It occurred to me that perhaps I should share some of it with you! So here we go.

Every Monday I will post links to my 7 favorite blog posts from the last week. I will also post a Motivate Monday Link Party for you, my readers to share your own projects or motivation. Anything goes!

These are the Party Rules. Remember to play fair :) We just want to have a little fun!

a.) Share a maximum of (2) motivate projects for each Link Party
b.) Only share NEW Motivate projects for each Link Party (please do not share the same projects every week)
c.) Only share your own projects, from your own blogs. Please do not link back to someone else's blog.
d.) Link directly to the post of the new motivate project. Please do not link back to your Blog's home page.
e.) Go back to your Motivate Project link and link back to my Party Link

Ok! On to the Motivation!

My first motivation was actually found on Pinterest.

I love love love the awesome Typography of the chalkboard variety and I am loving the idea that I can do this in PhotoShop, or PhotoBucket, Or Gimp, or any number of other Photo Editors out there. (Confession? Yes I need to learn Photoshop, as evidenced by my severely lacking in quality pictures I continually post here!)

The Blog is Foolish Fire and the project can be found here - so have a lot of fun with this and don't forget to share what you've learned in next weeks link party!

My Second Motivation was found at Southern Hospitality.

I'll be completely honest here and say that my motivation for sharing this post from Rhoda was that I know how much work it takes to redo stairs. I know this because for the last 3 weeks we've been scraping and sanding, and yanking carpet nails, and sanding some more, and priming and painting my own staircase. I can't even take the credit for it. I have a fabulous friend who has done 99% of the work. But the stress of having the stairs to our bedrooms and main bathroom has been challenging to say the least.

So I can totally appreciate the work and effort that it takes for an outcome such as Rhoda's.   Do you have any major renovations or overhauls you've worked on?

My Third Motivation is soooo yummy and delish I can't hardly stand it!
Virtue for Women posted this ages ago, but I stumbled upon it literally this morning and with the upcoming Bridal Shower I'm helping with, this will be a great little take home giftie :)

Cherry (or Apple, or Blueberry) pies in a Jar - Check it out!

Motivation # 4 was a little harder to find. It wasn't on Pinterest, and didn't come to me via email - This is my friend's wedding bouquet from her wedding in 2010. Which I didn't attend. Isn't it stunning? The flowers aren't real. Yeap - this is the regular Joann's variety Bouquet, but she did such a great job with it - I figured you could to! No instructions or blog to link back to - you'll have to become inspired with just the picture to work from - Sorry about that!

And we are almost there! Motivation #5 are these sweetheart little side tables from UniquelyYoursorMine. This is a before shot, but you've GOT to go over to her blog and see what she turned them into. Aren't you curious? The finished product is just fabulous! For me, it's the beautiful contrast between the creamy, lush paint, and that stunning walnut stained top. I mean seriously. Just to die for!

Motivation #6 A little hand "maiden" for Halloween.  I love this from over at Dear Lillie.
I mean as if her little darlin weren't cute enough - the perfect detailing of the tutu and the little details on her arms? And that precious little band around her head. The not so overdone make up on her cheeks which I could just squeeze? Yeah this was definitely motivation for me to try my hand at something like this too - maybe for my niece this year. If I can convince her that an Indian is way more interesting than Hannah Montana! LOL

And last but not least... Motivation # 7.  This is from Beth, over at Home Stories A to Z. Beth owns my favorite blog ever - and her post "3 Creative Storage Solutions" was so inspiring to me, as we are in the process of decluttering and 'staging' our home for selling. I won't be doing any "built in's" since we don't have an Ikea within 2 hrs of us... but I will be putting to good work the basket idea, and several other things listed here - Enjoy!

Now! Onto the Link party! Don't forget to link back here from your original post, and remember to upload your fabulous projects and motivation!
Motivate Mondays are here!
