Utterly cool

My friend Molly is utterly cool. She is sweet, funny, smart, beautiful and unabashedly in love with Jesus. That is utterly cool.

I haven't seen Molly in a long time. Haven't talked to her in a long time either. But she'd been on my heart for quite some time to get in touch with. I met Molly when I was working with her husband for a very brief amount of time. (If you can call 2yrs brief nowadays). She was a scrapbooker! She was funny. Shy and sweet, but once you know her, soo funny. I immediately knew I wanted to be her friend. She makes me laugh. It was totally a selfish reason to be her friend.

Now though, a few jobs, houses, and years later... I still find Molly sweet, funny, smart beautiful and unabashedly in love with Jesus. It defines her. She is nothing else without him, and she nurtures that knowledge within her, and it lets him shine in everything she is, does and loves.

I saw Molly for the first time in almost 2 yrs yesterday. Spent several hours visiting with her at her kitchen table, in her daughter's room where she told me the story of the purple paint disaster. In her own bedroom where she vividly shared pictures and details of her own bedroom makeover to find a beautiful color for the walls called Cashmere, and a chair she hopes to have re-upholstered in a stripey pink, green and buttercup color... maybe. A georgous picture she was given by a beautifully talented painter she knows who's creations are hung in loving detail in every room of Molly's home. A vision of a sconce for the wall, her love of Home Interiors, (a passion I admit I share!).

Molly is one of the best people I've ever met. She's loving and forgiving, & beautiful and talented, and in her home I feel welcome. No, more than welcome. I feel honored. Honored to be asked over, honored to share her precious stories, honored to know her family and know their hobbies and likes and dislikes.

I won't let another 2 yrs go by before I visit Molly again.

She is a life shaper, and I like that.
