Aaah.... the weekend

Yay the weekend is finally here. I'm so thankful. I really enjoy my weekends. Sleeping in past 9am... staying up late, getting together with friends... I love it. I shouldn't complain much - I mean I only work 9-3 so it's not like I have long work hours any more, or that I'm really overly busy. But still - there is something wonderful about the word 'weekend'!

So last night Hockey was cancelled again, only this time we found out about it before we actually went. That's cool. I did some bill work and ran out to Office Max, but spent the night mostly at home. We have a big storm moving in so I probably won't stay the whole day at work either. Ty is already at home because of a snow day. last year I don't think we had any snow days, and this year - we're already at #1. They are expecting a lot of Lake Effect snow this year I think. But the storm should start rearing it's ugly head around 1pm, and I'll probably head home shortly after. Heck I only live like 3 miles away!

Ever have a Tim Horton's hot smoothie? Do ya even have Tim Horton's near you? My first experience w/Tim Horton's was in a suburb of Toronto called Missaussauga (sp?). I spent the whole night hangin out w/a guy whos name I can't remember just talking, and having a good time. Well see about 10 of us were supposed to meet up for dinner and a movie, but I think EVERYONE bailed except me and him so we went and saw Sleepy Hollow had some dinner and went to Tim Horton's. It was fun. He was a nice guy - great conversation. Never talked to him again (And for all you dirty minded folks - it WAS just talking). I think I headed home to Buffalo around 6am! LOL Had to pull over on the QEW to sleep for a little while or I'd have been dead in Canada! Not good to die in a foreign country. Not good at all...lol

Anywho - Tim Horton's (Or Timmies as the canucks call it) is so awesome. Yummy donuts, yummy coffee and cocoa, and now... hot smoothies. YUM. Love them. Timmies became popular around here about 5yrs ago, and are showing up all over the place. There is one in just about every neighborhood. They are so popular in Canada that you can have 2 at the same intersection, on opposite sides of the street. I once dated a guy from St Catherines (very breif relationship mind you) who said he did a study for college, and he found that Tim Horton's was the single most lucrative business to start and run. In Canada (or at least Ontario) it was guaranteed to be a money maker. With like $250K (CAD) profit the first year. Not bad I guess huh? I guess it's got a SOLID business plan. Well I don't plan on opening or running a Tim Horton's but I am a life long supporter of the yummy Hot smoothies. Particularly the Butter caramel. I'll be sad when they go.... :(

So one of the girls at work here stopped at Timmie's on the way in and brought me a Hot Smoothie. Ah yum. My cup runneth over.... My joy is complete... my insides are warm... and the weathter outside looks beautiful, even though I know it will be deceiving later! LOL
