Quick Easter postings

Sorry! Forgot to update the Easter pics. Got some cute ones of the kids. Mostly my sister Shana's kids, since Kyrie's kids don't know how to take pictures. They freeze, stand ramrod straight and plaster these cheezeball faces on, that quite frankly it's just not fun to take their pics. I told their mom - I have enough cheezeball pics of them to last a lifetime. I want some real life, fun in motion pictures! Anyway - had a good easter. Been a busy week though and got lots more to update. Just trying to catch up. this weekend wasn't much of a weekend to myself, so I'll just have to grin and bare it till next weekend.

This is Mom and Doug looking really excited at their "early" Anniversary Present, a 37" Flat Screen HD TV :)

And Shiori with her loot from the first ever Easter Egg hunt! Normally the teens actually hide the eggs, but since Shiori has never done this before, we made an exception to the rule and allowed her to play with the younger kids :)

A Unique hiding place, over the door :)

The "stash" - I think this actually belongs to Malik :) He's famous for leaving precious things laying around! And trust me - Easter eggs and their 'fillings' are precious! LOL

And my Tye and his "pumpkin".... Helping Zoey ride her bike up and down the sidewalk :) All in all not a terribly bad day... for our family!

Sharing some easter pics....

Hi All! Happy Easter!

Just wanted to share a few pics of our nice day - it really was great. We had a good church service, and then I came home and cooked my butt off - and then had friends come over for dinner. It was fun! The kids went searching for their easter baskets in the morning and we had a breakfast at church too. So here are some pics for you!

Mmm French toast...

Nope, Jay your basket isn't in the messy freezer!
Ty and his basket - even if there weren't any CD's in it...

My beautiful friend Crystal and her adorable daughter Veronica

We had a great day - we really did. Have to admit it was fun to not have any drama, and Tyler even did the dishes without any griping at all. Have to remember to thank him for that!

Hope your Easter was just as fabulous!

French Toast casserole

By popular demand - HERE is the recipe I use for my French Toast Casserole - it's a Paula Deen recipe and I found it in one of her cook books - however, you all are blessed to be able to get it online!

Anyway - it's 11:30 - my casserole is in the fridge soaking up all it's yummy goodness - and I've made dessert for tomorrow night (Raspberry Lemonade cake). All I have left to do is make up some easter baskets and call it a night. I'm just hoping that my son doesn't walk in while I'm putting them together - THAT would stink big time. He's over at his dad's but wasnt' sure if he was sleeping over, or if he was going to come back tonight. *sigh* Teenagers! LOL

Ok I'm off to pack some baskets and call it a night. Busy day tomorrow what with Church and dinner guests :)

Happy Easter all!
