My Cottage Charm: How to paint a dresser

So I'm learning how to link up to other blogs, and I stumbled across this one today, which I'm SO excited about! This girl, Missy, from the Blog "My Cottage Charm" is the original maker of the highly popular "BATH" sign that I pinned weeks and weeks ago, as inspiration to do for my downstairs bathroom.

Well because of the Mini Roll Top Desk I discovered last night, I was looking for some painting inspiration, especially for some 'beat up' pieces that had been recovered, and beautifully repurposed. I just LOVE what Missy did with this dresser. I mean seriously it takes a keen eye to see the potential in pieces like my desk, and her dresser. But, a little creative ingenuity and you can make it happen!
So click below and check out Missy's blog post about her new Laundry room addition. Break out the bleach and the paint and have a blast!

Oh God!

Ok. I drove past this church tonight on the way to a meeting, and I just couldn't believe it. I mean really??? Hysterical!

I almost texted it to a former friend of mine... but then I thought better of it. More fun to post on FB and on here :) Enjoy! LOL

having some fun w/the camera..

Have really been enjoying the new camera I got for my birthday during a black Friday sale, but I probably should read the manual. some of the settings have stumped me, and i'm confused about how to access some of the menu's, like Thumbnails on the actual camera right?
Well here was something interesting on Friday. A whole flock of birds descended on our yard. They came in one fell swoop, and they all left in one fell swoop. As you can see, it is January, and we have no snow on the ground. It's becoming a bit bizaar as I think all of Buffalo waits with Baited breath for the storm we are all sure is brewing... so we keep our fridges stocked, and our car full of Gas... extra batteries for the flashlights, and for those of us without generators, PRAYER that the power doesn't go out! LOL

Just Tye and his Doggie, Jill :)

Colors are all wrong, but I took a pic trying to get my new earrings, but it didnt' exactly work. They are pretty cool. Long, with feathers! Target has the BEST selection of Nickle Free earrings. I never have to worry about a reaction :)

Haha I'm getting the christmas tree taken down and all the Christmas stuff packed away. Since we won't unpack it until we are in our new 'landing place' I have to be sure to put it all away very carefully!

Why, Yes, Yes he is :)

Just some visual reminders of how much I enjoy decorating for Christmas.

We received this beautiful card from one of the exchange students parents, from Tokyo. It's for New years, which is really big in Japan. It's beautiful!
ah some better colors. But what is going on with my right eye? LOL Ah well at least you can see the earrings right? :)
