Ty is truly blessed. He really has lived a charmed life. Oh as with any normal 13yr old he doesn't know it.... but he has!
Last night was hockey practice and as life would have it in our rather zainy world, I never checked email. Heck I never turned the computer on when I got home from work. Pete called and asked if we could take him too since his dad was out of town for the day. Sure no prob.
So we arrive at the hockey rink the required 30 minutes early to a very empty lot. I said hmm... guys go inside and see if there is still hockey tonight. They come back out - yeap we're on the board. We've got ice time. Okie doke.
Drop the kids off and go run some errands. Arrive back at the rink about 8:30 and the lot is still empty. This is really eerie. Now I'm thinking gee... where are the boys? I go inside and there are 3 boys on the ice, and Matt's dad is supervising them from the sidelines since he has no skates with him. Seems neither me, Ed or John (Matt and Pete's dad) checked our emails! LOL
Ah Tyler is lucky. Never not ever does he get that kind of freedom on the ice. It's always structured, and sometimes even crowded depending on which rink he has practice at. The boys had a great time. I read Little Women. Then we went home, and checked our email and found out there was no practice! (HA yes there was - there just wasn't any coach!)
