no phone... no internet

what's a girl to do ???

At work today, our phone lines were out. That means no phones (or sporadic at best) no internet (AT ALL!) and very little to no work to do. UGH.

Today's society is so fascinated around being "plugged in". Internet, phone, fax, cable, our lifestyles have become insanely programed around media. 10 yrs ago I wouldn't be on the internet blogging. Or running to and from the kitchen to the office ot check email while a batch of cookies were in the oven.

Even my son is overly plugged in and he has yet to learn/master the online craze. Video games have become a proven addiction. So has the net. What has happened in the last 10 yrs to cause this phenomenon? You got me!
