The past few days have been crazy busy

and I've barely had a chance to think - let alone update.

Lets see... Thursday night we went to the Sabres vs. the Mighty Ducks game. (Thanks Tracy!) it was a blast. Ty is a huge Ducks fan and he loves going when they come to Buffalo. Last year was such a drag w/no NHL, but this year they are back and full of life! I'm so excited. Anywho the game was intense and wow, the Ducks had the Sabres scrambling the whole game. They were behind, and then tied, and then behind and then tied with 2 minutes or so left in the last period. I bet all those folks who were leaving at 4 1/2 minutes left in the game were so mad. The Sabres forced the game into OT and then like 2 minutes into OT the Ducks get a penalty and not 1 minute later the Sabres scored and won the whole game! Ty was sooo mad. The whole house of course is on their feet screaming and hollering but my Ty, he refused to get out of his seat..lol the whole way home it was "stupid penalty, stupid stupid penalty". Well... like I told him - there's always next year! LOL

Friday night Tyler and I did the remainder of our shopping for Sat nights big Christmas party we do. This is our 2nd year and I am pretty sure it will be an annual thingie. We are pretty lucky, where we live. Everything is so close that in 2 hrs we were able to hit the hair place for him to get a haircut, Tops for groceries, Aldi's for everything else, Tim Horton's for an Iced Cappucino (YUM) and Wegman's for the ham. We were home by 5:30 and the rest of the night was last minute prep stuff for having company over. Very exciting :)

Gosh Saturday is sort of a whirlwind. Tyler had a hockey game in Fredonia which is about an hour or so from Buffalo, so he was riding w/his friend Rocco to the game. I dropped him off at Rocco's house around 11am and took mom for lunch. We went to applebee's and by far I had the best French Onion soup I've had in a long long time. Then we went to Kmart, did a quick shopping around, Got film for my party (yeah I'm not digital yet - getting there though!) and went home to start the prep work.

This year I promised myself I would definitely get a shower in after all the food was prepped but before my guests arrive. There is nothing like feeling like you can't shower when all your friends are around and you've got to get dinner on the table you know??? It's just gross!

Party was a huge success - pictures will follow later - have to get them developed, but we had a great time and a lot of people (well about 20 in my apartment - that's a lot!)

ok ok enough break - back to work. I'm going to have to get home soon! I just heard that Jay is going home with Tyler.
