Thursday....

Kinda boring today. I'm at work and updating employee records. We don't have a lot of employees, but I do want to make sure our records are accurate. Last night was interesting. Malik was over because his parents had court again. He's such a sweetie, but definitely still a talker. The kid doesn't quit! Which reminds me I have to check on Veggie Tales. I guess they are coming to Buffalo sometime this year. Gotta find out when. Anyway he went to church with us. I love that about Malik & Jay. They love going to church with me. It's 'their' church. Not their 'aunt's church' you know? I think that's fantastic.

Anyway I totally felt like Pastor was preaching/teaching at me last night. Remember last week or the week before, my mom and I had that argument and I was sure I was dealing w/ugly pride? Well guess what the sermon was on? PRIDE. Ugly, stinkin pride...lol and how we have to humble ourselves and God will exhault us high. He talked about Grace, and the Greek word it comes from - Charisma - (where we get Charismatic) and how Charisma is a root word of "charis" which means literally spirituals. (Gifts wasn't added to the bible till the KJV came about) Anyway it talks about Grace being a spiritual gift, and that it is given by God, according to our ability to receive it.

In Peter, and Hebrews it talks about God gives grace to the humble and we won't receive grace to get thru our trials if we don't humble ourselves. It's a series so he didn't talk about everything he wanted to get out, but it was good. And definitely something I need to consider more and put into practice.

ok well - more later - I'm off to order our new fax machine and copier! YAY I can't wait!
