You betta 'splain yourself Lucy!

Ok so I guess... I better explain that post I put up about the hairspray quote! LOL

So I was sitting here way too late watching this movie I bought a few weeks back and hadn't had a chance yet to see - and Queen Latifah said this to her son, and his white girlfriend (movie is set in the 60's). Seeing as I have a bi-racial son- and all the children in this new generation of our family are bi-racial in some way... it just seemed so appropriate because people make so many assumptions about so many things! Luckily living in Buffalo, which is a pretty tolerant town, we don't run into to much "stupid" - but every once in a while someone reminds me of their stupid predjudices and I think - yeap that's stupid! LOL So when I was watching the movie - I just LOVED that line... Queen Latifah is the BOMB diggity! ROFL.... Gosh I've loved that woman since I was a kid!

Ah early morning for me. My friend Bernie called me at 7:39... and then proceeded to harass me about not being out of bed yet... heehee and THEN I had to come downstairs and get an address for him. I'll forgive him though! He's too sweet for me not to! He and his precious wife are having a baby next month God bless em - it's so weird to me that a lot of my friends are just starting this whole new 'parenting' journey and I can totally see where maybe mine is winding down to a close... I mean yeah I'll be a parent for the rest of my life, but I think it's safe to say that eventually I will be more of a friend, then a mom to my son sometime very soon!

I've been a bit busy lately. We are having some guest ministers in this weekend and I volunteered to make the prayer/modesty cloths we needed for the meetings. Since I don't sew....lol this is no easy task. However, a nifty little product called Stitch Witchery has me looking like a pro! The stuff is awesome. I might even try curtains next! ROFL also last night we had a board meeting so I worked till about 7pm - came home, worked on the cloths and then watched hairspray so I was up kinda later than I wanted to be.

Ok It's definitely time for new pics - I did some layouts last weekend but haven't photo'd them yet - I'll have to get that done - and I think I need some new ones of the boys as I don't have any from June yet - I've been a naughty picture taker! Oh and I promised some for mom of the suncatchers I bought this weekend at JoAnne's.... soooo look for some pics this week soon!
