Ticket Update

Hi gals - thanks for asking - I forgot to come update. I drove out to Fredonia on Monday night and went to court. The judge was a sweet, friendly man - but don't buy the hype about just because a cop doesn't show up you don't have to pay. The cop who issued me the ticket didn't show up, but I still had to pay the fine ($25) plus surcharge ($55) and plead guilty. I could have pled NOT guilty, and gone to 'trial'- but lets face it. It's an after market muffler, that technically is not legal in NYS. Most people don't care - but this particular cop did. I just hate to give up $80 for something so insignificant! Who's got that kind of extra cash laying around? I did explain to the judge how much the 'repair' would cost, and he just said it'd be cheaper for me to plead guilty - since it doesn't hit my license and there are no points associated with it. All in all I got off w/an $80 fine I can pay within 2 weeks and life goes on.

Tonight we are going to Veggie Tales w/my neice Zoey and our friends Lisa & Riley Jo. Very excited! I miss doing these things w/my nephews and now I have a brand new baby to do it with. My sister says she's going thru her 'clingy' stage... so hopefully she won't be too much hassle when I pick her up! (she's about 19months old).

Tomorrow night I'm going on a hayride w/some friends. I'm really looking forward to that. I love hayrides, and hot apple cider and spice donuts. THAT is what memories are made of! I really am just a country girl in a city-fied world! LOL
