Little Lamb Set

There are few things in this world that produce as many ooohs and aaaaahs over powder and blankets like that well deserved first baby shower :) And on Saturday we celebrated. I won't bore you with pictures of a bunch of random people neither you, nor I, really know, but would you like to see what I made for mommy to be? Or maybe it's "baby" to be :)

Mom is a bit obsessed with lambs, and I thought, why not make something super cute? I'd found this pattern from Sweet Kiwi Crochet on Pinterest. It looked easy enough so I ordered the pattern and Kandice was great! I had that pattern in my email within 2 hrs of placing the order.
Now THAT is customer service! Thanks Kandice!
The instructions come in (5) pattern sizes and is super easy to work up.
I got this little fella (3 months) worked up in one night, while chatting and
hanging out with girlfriends! Can't get easier than that.
I used Caron Soft yarn, which is a soft, acrylic yarn, size (4) and an I hook.

Once I had the Hat finished, I needed a sweater, and once again headed over
to Ravelry for inspiration. You need to subscribe to see the patterns but once
you do, you'll be glad you did! The best thing about Ravelry, is once you purchase
a pattern, it stays in your 'library' forever, and you can pretty much access it from anywhere.
{SO}{WORTH}{IT}
This pattern arrived I love this combination of "Ribbing" and Wattle stitching.
It's so simple and sweet.
And it had perfect texture to match the Little Lamb hat too!

This sweater is super easy to work up.
The Ribbing, and the wattle stitch I seriously did in one night.
The arms were a little complicated, but once I figured it out, it came together nicely.

Crochet Ribbing is basically a crochet stitch in the back loop only.
After you work a few rounds, the mock ribbing begins to appear.
Really there is a ton you can do with this technique.
Anyway, I posted these sweet pics on Facebook and the next thing you know,
I had two orders for them:)

Ladies thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and comment on my hat. I know it is just TOO Cute to pass up! It also has spawned a TON of orders! I can't believe it!

@LA - I don't necessarily "buy" patterns either, but I find that some of them it's perfect to have someone ELSE do the math work and then I can just hook ya know?

@Katrine - thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. You're so sweet to take the time. I hope you come back!

@Marti - new momma is STILL gushing over it :) That makes me happy!
