Wide awake

Well I'm back from Company A's annual Christmas party. Gotta say I had a good time. My boss was pretty good about not letting folks harrass me about not drinking, and it was fun. While some people got so incredibly drunk they had almost no clue where they were or what they were doing, others just had a nice time drinking a little and if it were a christian group I'd say 'fellowshipping' but since it wasn't - I guess the word would be hanging out.

I actually stayed the latest. I think it's because I wasn't drinking. I mean I'd lie if I said I didn't have one drink. Sort of. As soon as I got there, my boss asked what I was having and I said white russian. I know him though. He had it made up like a triple. I knew if I drank it too much too fast I'd get sick. Sooo I sipped it, it was way strong, I went to the bar and had it cut in half, and then added a whole lot more cream. I think I drank about 1/4 of the glass and then got pepsi. It was a nice drink but way more than enough for me! I don't think that is what Pastor preaches about when he says God is a "too much God!" lol.

Otherwise it was a nice time. Some people did crazy things, and other's not so crazy, but I had a great time talking with one of our Driver's wife (and the driver when he wasn't plastered). Turns out she's a believer! Thank God. I asked him to go with me when I went in there, and let me be ok with it. I didn't want to insult my bosses, but I don't ever want to do something that would make me guilty of being a hypocrite you know? So thankfully C is a believer. I know I can pray for her now :) How awesome. Her DH is a nice guy, but definitely not saved. That's ok. He hasn't got a chance now! and I found out little M is/was a believer. Now I know there is hope for that place. Definitely hope. Praise God. He's given me a whole new perspective and mission field. I just have to make sure I keep my armor on at all times. The enemy likes to attack and he never makes something look obviously black - he makes things look slightly off white, so that it's almost acceptible. But if it's almost right? It ain't right!

So anywho - now I'm wide awake. I need to get to bed cause I have to get up in the morning and get my mom to work. Then I have some shopping to do, and I am meeting P & T for lunch at Friendly's. I'm looking forward to that. Havent' seen them in a while, so it'll be nice to catch up. Two more days til Christmas! Glory to God.
