Today wasn't bad at work - boss bought every one pizza on account of us matching our Jan sales totals from last Jan. The lumber business is usually kinda slow this time of year (the phones aren't ringing much) - I guess folks don't see need to build decks or replace their hardwood floors in the middle of January...lol but anyway - we did it. We matched our sales from last year, and that was with 4 hrs to spare to the end of the day... so we got lunch out of the deal. Pretty cool huh?
When I left work I went and picked up my nephew from school, and his dad came over, but I was in very little shape to be chattering about much of anything so thankfully he left after only a half hour and took his son with him. Normally I don't care and am thankful for the 'adult' company... but today I just wanted peace, quiet and my good friends Giadda de laurentis, Paula Deen & Rachel Ray.... AKA the Food goddesses. (little g...lol)
I played some yahtzee with Ty & my baby bro. Boy was that shaking dice nerve wrecking but I suffered thru 3 games.. and created a couple yahtzee monsters. I beat my bro 2 games out of three - he won the 3rd game - and Ty actually beat me the 3rd game for 2nd place. His first time ever playing! Beginners luck I say! Though he's definitely got the dice wrist shake down pat - from all those games of Texas Hold em he plays at his dad's I'm sure!
Friday we are takin the youth from church to see the End of the Spear movie. It looks good. As with any 'religious' billed movie it didn't get great reviews from the secular critic's, but the christian critics say it is good, if not a touch watered down. I'm looking forward to it, and I'm dreading it - since I hear it is very very gory. I hate gory. I have to make sure I get an aisle seat so I can book it quick if the scenes get too intense for me. I did that during the Lord of the rings. The battle at Helms deep, I just could NOT bear to watch it. I had to leave. It was so awful for me.
Ok well - officially 10 minutes of updating has passed and I'm off to bed. Have a wonderful night all of you passer by's in the night of cyber land!
