Way to go BISONS!

ok so I just have to brag on my son's team a bit here.

We're SO excited!

Tyler's been playing Ice Hockey for 8yrs. But this year has been incredible. The whole team has bonded so well, & they have an 18 win, 7 loss, 2 tie record for the season. Not FANTASTIC, but certainly not shabby by any means.

Well this weekend they are in their tournament. Usually this one is the end of the season, but they have another in 2 weeks. This is the big one though. We are in a 1/2 pt lead to go to the championship game.

We played Tuesday against one team, (south buffalo 1) and blew them out of the water. 9-1. Then this morning we played and beat the fredonia team 6-3.

Tonight we went to the rink to watch the team we are playing tomorrow. That team (Monroe county) beat the team we played Tuesday 9-0.
So since it's on a funky scoring system:
1 pt for the team who scores first in each period
1/2 pt for a tie in each period
2 pts for the team who wins

for a total 5 points possible per game. (Not scores - ranking points)

Right now we are at 9.5pts - Monroe County is at 9 pts. We play Monroe county tomorrow morning at 10am to determine who goes to the championship game tomorrow night.

Now here's the reason this is so amazing. My son has never won a championship. He's never made it to the championship game. None of the teams he's been on have ever made it. But this team CAN. If we tie/win tomorrow morning atainst monroe county we will go to the championship game. The team we will play in the championship round (South Buffalo 2) we've beat several times in the regular season. We can take them!
