Since we got our letter the other day that Shiori will be here on Friday, I've been kicking butt trying to get things done around here. Thursday night Tye and I cleaned out the garage. This was a must since everything was everywhere, with no order, and I needed the garage so I could start painting.
Last night my friend Tracy and her sister Cassie came over to help me get started cleaning up my 'new' bedroom, which is my 'old' scrabook and office room. 3 bags of trash, and 3 boxes of stuff to the Sisters, and 1 box of stuff for another friend, I am about halfway finished with my project. yeah. Hey I can see floor, and windows, and walls... so as far as I'm concerned that's progress!
Today I got the paint for the dresser and book shelf that will be Shiori's. I picked out a nice 'antique' white, because it will go with everything and I'm spraypainting the handles a nice chocolate brown. She likes purple so I think these colors are neutral enough that she can go with very bold prints if she likes and it won't overwhelm the room which is kind of small.
I still have to get the shampoo -er from my pastor's wife so I can do the rugs sometime this week - and I have to finish up my 'new' bedroom so that I can move the furniture around... but we are definitely seeing progress. As for the rest of the painting projects, they can wait till after she's here, and hey maybe she can help me! LOL
Just finished making a dessert to take to church tomorrow and so I'm heading out to a friend's house for a small bonfire. I think they started a while ago.... but they know I'm always late! They love me anyway - means i have the best friends ever! LOL
